- Coverage is incomplete by design. Some events will not appear. Some alerts will be wrong.
- AI explanations are machine output — unverified, potentially inaccurate, not suitable for direct reliance.
- Nothing here is investment, trading, or professional advice of any kind.
- Your subscription is for your internal use only. You may not redistribute or resell our data.
- Our liability is strictly capped. We are not liable for decisions you make using this Service.

1. Nature of the Service
PureMine is an automated supply chain risk intelligence platform that monitors global news sources for event-driven signals affecting the extraction, processing, and trade of critical minerals — including cobalt, copper, lithium, nickel, gold, graphite, and related materials.
The Service operates a fully automated three-stage pipeline: (1) news ingestion and NLP-based risk classification, (2) subscription-matched alert delivery, and (3) AI-generated analytical explanations produced by third-party large language models. No human analyst reviews or approves individual alerts or explanations before they are delivered to you.
PureMine is a data and signal service. It surfaces information for your consideration. It does not make recommendations, issue judgements about individual events, or tell you what to do. The interpretive and decision-making function remains entirely with you.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PureMine platform and associated services ("Service") provided by PUREMINE LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, you accept these Terms in full.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
The Service is available to professionals and organisations acting in a commercial capacity. You must be at least 18 years old. PureMine is not a consumer product and is not intended for personal or household use.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity conducted under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation, notify us immediately at support@puremineus.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false registration information, breach these Terms, or engage in abusive platform use.
3. Data and Coverage Limitations
The limitations described in this section are inherent properties of how PureMine works. They are not failures or exceptions — they are the normal operating state of any automated news intelligence system.
Incomplete event coverage
PureMine ingests articles from third-party news data providers. Coverage is bounded by what those providers index. Events reported only in non-English-language media, events in regions underserved by international press, events that occur between scheduled ingestion cycles, and events that generate insufficient news volume to meet detection thresholds will not appear in the Service.
The absence of an alert does not mean an event has not occurred. The Service is intended to complement, not replace, your own monitoring processes.
Alert accuracy — false positives and misclassification
Alert generation is performed by automated NLP classifiers operating on pattern matching, not human judgement. They will produce false positives — alerts for articles that superficially match risk patterns but do not represent genuine supply chain disruptions. They will also misclassify event type, severity, geographic scope, and commodity relevance.
Alert levels (Strong / Watch) reflect automated signal confidence scores. They are not editorial assessments of real-world impact. You are solely responsible for evaluating the quality and relevance of each alert before acting on it.
Third-party source data
All alerts are based on news content sourced from third-party providers. We do not independently verify, fact-check, or editorially review source articles. The accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of content is constrained by third-party indexing and publication practices. We have no liability for inaccuracies, omissions, or delays in third-party source data.
Timeliness
Alerts are generated on a scheduled basis, not in real time. There will be a lag between an event occurring, being reported, being indexed, and appearing in PureMine. For time-sensitive decisions, PureMine is not a substitute for real-time monitoring or direct market intelligence sources.
4. AI-Generated Content — Specific Limitations
Alert explanations are generated by artificial intelligence and are not reviewed by a human before delivery. They may contain factual errors, hallucinated details, incorrect causal attribution, mischaracterisation of event severity, or outdated contextual information from the model's training data. Confident-sounding language in an explanation does not reflect human editorial judgement or verified accuracy.
Specifically, AI-generated explanations on PureMine:
- Are produced by a third-party large language model (Anthropic Claude) applied to article text and automated risk signals — with no human review before delivery
- May misidentify the significance, geographic scope, or commodity relevance of an event
- May reflect the model's training data rather than current market conditions
- May present speculative inferences as factual statements
- May omit material caveats or qualifications present in the source article
- May be factually wrong in ways that are not obvious from reading the explanation
AI explanations are a machine-generated starting point, not analysis. Treat them as a first-pass summary of automated signals — not a considered assessment of any event.
We expressly disclaim all liability for losses, damages, or decisions arising from reliance on AI-generated explanations.
5. Not Investment, Trading, or Professional Advice
Nothing on PureMine — including alerts, AI explanations, severity scores, commodity flags, or any other Service output — constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading recommendations, legal advice, procurement advice, or any other form of professional advice.
PureMine is a data and information service. The Service does not account for your organisation's specific risk exposure, financial position, contractual obligations, or strategic objectives. Alert content reflects automated signal detection against news data — not analytical judgement calibrated to your circumstances.
You must not make investment, trading, hedging, procurement, or operational decisions based solely or primarily on PureMine output. Any such decisions should be made in conjunction with your own independent research, internal analysis, and where appropriate, advice from qualified professional advisers.
We are not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading adviser, or regulated financial services provider in any jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms or the Service creates any advisory relationship between us.
6. Subscriptions and Usage
The Service is available under subscription plans with varying feature access, alert volumes, and usage quotas. Current plan details are on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features and pricing with reasonable advance notice.
Your subscription grants access for your internal business use only — it does not entitle you to redistribute, resell, or sublicense Service content to third parties. Usage limits may include caps on alert volume, filter configuration, AI explanation access, and (where applicable) API call volume.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. We will notify you before any renewal price change. Trial or free-tier access is provided at our discretion and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
7. Permitted Use and Restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription term. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
You must not:
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or white-label Service content or data to any third party
- Use automated scraping, bots, or systematic extraction methods beyond any API access we explicitly provide
- Reproduce or publicly display alert content or AI explanations in external publications, client reports, or marketing materials without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or derive the NLP models, tag taxonomy, or scoring logic underlying the Service
- Use Service output to train, benchmark, or evaluate competing machine learning or intelligence products
- Share account credentials with individuals not covered by your subscription tier
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and all its components — platform software, NLP pipelines, risk tag taxonomy, alert scoring logic, explanation frameworks, and interface elements — are the proprietary property of PUREMINE LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
Underlying news article content remains subject to the copyright of the original publishers. Your subscription does not grant you any rights to reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit source article content.
Alert quality ratings, tag feedback, and other submissions you make through the Service may be used by us to improve the platform without compensation or attribution.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party providers whose availability and conduct we do not control:
- News data providers — for article sourcing and indexing. Coverage gaps, delays, and inaccuracies originating with these providers are outside our control and our liability.
- Anthropic, Inc. — for AI-generated explanations via the Claude API. When an explanation is generated, relevant article text and risk signal metadata are transmitted to Anthropic. This does not include your personal account data. Anthropic's processing is subject to its own policies.
- Cloud infrastructure and payment processors — for hosting, storage, and billing.
We are not liable for service degradation, content errors, or data losses caused by third-party providers. Interruptions to third-party services may affect the timeliness, completeness, or availability of alerts.
10. Disclaimers of Warranty
(a) WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
(b) ANY WARRANTY THAT ALERTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, TIMELY, OR FREE FROM FALSE POSITIVES OR MISCLASSIFICATION;
(c) ANY WARRANTY THAT AI-GENERATED EXPLANATIONS WILL BE FACTUALLY CORRECT, FREE FROM HALLUCINATION, OR SUITABLE FOR RELIANCE IN ANY DECISION-MAKING CONTEXT;
(d) ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL CAPTURE ALL RELEVANT EVENTS OR PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE OF ANY COMMODITY, GEOGRAPHY, OR RISK TYPE;
(e) ANY WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE AT ALL TIMES;
(f) ANY WARRANTY AS TO THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF THIRD-PARTY NEWS CONTENT SURFACED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
NO ORAL OR WRITTEN COMMUNICATION FROM US OR OUR REPRESENTATIVES CREATES ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN THESE TERMS.
11. Limitation of Liability
(a) IN NO EVENT WILL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, TRADING LOSSES, MISSED HEDGING OPPORTUNITIES, PROCUREMENT DECISION LOSSES, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
(b) WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM: (i) MISSED, DELAYED, OR INCOMPLETE ALERTS; (ii) FALSE POSITIVE OR MISCLASSIFIED ALERTS; (iii) ERRORS, HALLUCINATIONS, OR OMISSIONS IN AI-GENERATED EXPLANATIONS; (iv) INACCURACIES IN THIRD-PARTY SOURCE DATA; (v) SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS OR DOWNTIME; OR (vi) YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY SERVICE OUTPUT FOR ANY OPERATIONAL, COMMERCIAL, INVESTMENT, OR PROCUREMENT DECISION.
(c) OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE — REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION OR THEORY OF LIABILITY — WILL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) CALENDAR MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
(d) THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO ALL CLAIMS, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
Some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PUREMINE LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgements, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your reliance on Service output for business, trading, procurement, or investment decisions; or (c) your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or other rights.
13. Termination and Changes to Terms
You may close your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ceases and your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms at any time. Where a change is material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email or in-platform notification before it takes effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the state and federal courts located in Indiana, United States for the resolution of any dispute arising under these Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
